S.A.R. la Princesse Maria Carolina de Bourbon des Deux Siciles, Duchesse de Calabre et de Palerme
Son Altesse Royale est née à Rome le 23 juin 2003 et actuellement vit entre Paris, Monaco et Rome.
ÉDUCATION
Maria Carolina a toujours suivi des cours privés avec de différents tuteurs personnels. Elle a fréquenté le système éducatif international de Cambridge et le cours CNED sous la stricte supervision et le contrôle du Département de l’Éducation de Monaco avant d’obtenir sa licence en mars 2020. Son Altesse Royale a terminé ses études un an en avance.
Elle parle, écrit et lit couramment six langues (anglais, français, italien, espagnol, portugais et russe).
ENGAGEMENTS ET ACTIVITÉS ROYALES
Maria Carolina pratique différents sports: le tennis, la danse, la natation, l’athlétisme, le mono ski nautique, le waterboard, la voile et le windsurf.
Elle aime la mode et l’art et fréquente une école de théâtre afin d’étudier les arts dramatiques.
Elle a participé depuis son enfance à de nombreux événements publiques avec ses parents, S.A.R. le Prince Charles de Bourbon des Deux Siciles, Grand Maître de l’Ordre Constantinien de Saint-Georges et Chef de la Maison Royale de Bourbon des Deux Siciles, la famille qui a gouverné sur le Sud d’Italie pendant plus de 150 ans, et sa mère, S.A.R. la Princesse Camilla de Bourbon des Deux Siciles.
Son Altesse Royale Maria Carolina a toujours donné un soutien actif aux initiatives de l’Ordre dans le monde entier.
En autre, Son Altesse Royale participe à la No Finish Line, un événement caritatif sous le patronage de S.A.S. le Prince Albert II à Monaco.
Elle soutient, entre autres, le projet Ocean 1, l’UNICEF et l’Association Italienne « Salvamamme ».
Maria Carolina se soucie beaucoup des animaux et de la nature. Elle a adopté, dans le passé, des animaux en danger et les a aidés avec leur récupération et leur bien-être.
Une rose, cultivée auprès de l’Institut Technique Agricole italien de Caronia (Sicile), a été appelée en honneur de la Princesse Maria Carolina.
En 2014, la Princesse Maria Carolina a débuté au cinéma dans un film avec l’actrice Nicole Kidman, « Grace de Monaco ».
La Princesse Maria Carolina soutient également « Les Anges Gardiens de Monaco », une association qui aide les personnes en difficulté à Nice, et l’Association « Action Innocence Monaco ».
La Princesse Maria Carolina a toujours été très engagée dans la lutte contre toute forme de violence envers les femmes. Elle a participé, en 2016 et en 2018, au célèbre événement « March in March » à New York, organisé par l’association Women for Peace, directement gérée par les Nations Unies.
Elle a reçu en 2018 le « Premio Regina Maria Cristina Benedetta » pour son soutien humanitaire international.
S.A.R. la Princesse Maria Carolina a terminé en novembre 2017 un stage auprès de la Croix Rouge de Monaco, en apprenant les premiers secours.
Elle a terminé en avril 2019 un stage auprès du Musée Océanographique de Monaco.
La Princesse Maria Carolina, à l’occasion du mois d’octobre 2022 dédié à la prévention du cancer du sein, a visité l’unité de sénologie de la Fondation du CHU Campus Bio-Médical de Rome (une des excellences italiennes dans la lutte contre le cancer du sein), après une donation faite par l’Ordre Constantinien de Saint-Georges en faveur de la recherche et de la prévention du cancer du sein des jeunes femmes.
Elle a collaboré au cours du mois d’octobre 2022 avec la Croix Rouge Italienne. Grâce à l’Ordre Constantinien, qui a permis de collecter des fonds et d’acheter plus de 30 tons de biens non périssables et de produits pour l’hygiène personnelle, qui ont été envoyés en Ukraine à travers la Croix Rouge. .

EDUCATION
Maria Carolina has always attended private lessons with various personal tutors. She used to follow the International Cambridge Educational system and the CNED course under strict supervision and control of the Department of Education of Monaco before graduating in March 2020. Her Royal Highness was a year ahead in the schooling system.
She speaks, writes and reads in six languages fluently (English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian).
ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS & ACTIVITIES
Maria Carolina plays various sports such as tennis, dancing, swimming, athletics, gymnastics, mono waterskiing, wakeboarding, sailing and windsurfing.
She loves fashion and art and attends a drama school to study acting and dramatic arts.
Since her childhood, she has been attending multiple public events with her parents, HRH Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Grand Master of the Constantinian Order of Saint George and Head of the Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies, the Family who reigned over the South of Italy for over 150 years, and her mother, HRH Princess Camilla of Bourbon Two Sicilies.
HRH Princess Maria Carolina is and has always been an active supporter of the Order’s initiatives all over the world.
Moreover, Her Royal Highness takes part in the No Finish Line, a charitable event under HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco’s sponsorship in Monte Carlo.
She supports, between others, the Ocean 1 project, the UNICEF and the Italian Association “Salvamamme”.
Maria Carolina cares a lot about animals and nature. She has previously adopted animals in danger and helped them with their recovery and well-being.
A rose, grown at the Italian school “Istituto Tecnico Agrario” in Caronia (Sicily), was named in honour of Princess Maria Carolina.
In 2014, Princess Maria Carolina made her film début in a movie with the actress Nicole Kidman, “Grace of Monaco”.
Princess Maria Carolina also supports “Les Anges Gardiens of Monaco” , an association to help people in need in Nice, as well as the “Action Innocence Monaco” Association.

In November 2017 HRH Princess Maria Carolina completed an internship at the Monaco Red Cross, learning the first step in first aid.
In April 2019 completed an internship at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.
On the occasion of the month of October 2022 devoted to the prevention of breast cancer, Princess Maria Carolina visited the senology unit of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation in Rome (one of the Italian excellences in the fight against breast cancer), following a donation made by the Constantinian Order of Saint George in favour of research and prevention of breast cancer in young women.
During the month of October 2022 she has collaborated with the Italian Red Cross. Thanks to the Constantinian Order, which had made it possible to collect funds and then to buy more than 30 tons of non-perishable goods as well as personal hygiene products, which were then sent to Ukraine through the Red Cross.
